{"id":1198,"date":"2022-02-08T07:47:16","date_gmt":"2022-02-08T04:47:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/whmc-sa.com\/?p=1198"},"modified":"2022-10-30T16:27:00","modified_gmt":"2022-10-30T13:27:00","slug":"migraine-migraine-may-predispose-to-mental-disorders","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/whmc-sa.com\/en\/migraine-migraine-may-predispose-to-mental-disorders\/","title":{"rendered":"Migraine (migraine) may predispose to mental disorders"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\">A new scientific study warns that migraine headaches may predispose to mental disorders.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">And the American medical website Newswise quoted researcher Geoffrey Ratcliffe &#8211; who works in the Department of Psychoanalysis at the University of Manitoba in Canada &#8211; as saying that migraines and mental disorders cause greater harm if they are together.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Ratcliffe added that patients with one of these two conditions should have a medical evaluation because treating one condition affects the other.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Ratcliffe and his colleagues analyzed information from 4,181 people, where it was found that 11% of these suffer from migraine headaches, severe anxiety, panic attacks, and more.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">He said that the relationship between migraines and mental disorders is caused by the lack of enzyme activity that disrupts some of the chemical messages that are sent to the brain. The study also found that anxiety precedes migraines and depression.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">According to the American Migraine Awareness Association, about 40 million people in the United States suffer from this disease, and 8 million others have a genetic predisposition to developing it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A new scientific study warns that migraine headaches may predispose to mental disorders.
